Lesson 8: Key Signatures.
One thing that makes chords easier to learn and play is knowing key
signatures. Key signatures tell you how many sharps or flats to play.
If you can learn them, you can figure out any chord.
Key signatures are also an important part of playing and reading music.
Go to:
www.piano-lessons-info.com/key-signatures.html
After you read the page, practice finding these key signatures on the piano:
D major, F major, G major, Eb major, C major, E major, B major, Bb
major, A major.
If you are interested in playing with a band at some point, make sure
you understand the keys of C, G, D, E, A. Guitar players like to play
in those keys. (Flat keys are difficult for them.)
Next lesson: understanding chord titles.
